Romania Photo Story

Sunday, September 25th, 2011

Just over a week in Romania, from mid-August (bit slow uploading this time). Most of the time around Bucharest and Transylvania.

The music is “Your Song” by Ellie Goulding (originally Elton John, of course).

China Photo Story

Sunday, May 15th, 2011

Two and a half weeks of travelling around China from Shanghai, Beijing, Xi’an and back to Shanghai, here’s the usual photo story:

The music is “Honey, let me sing you a song” by Matt Hires.

Malaysia and Singapore Photo Story

Sunday, November 28th, 2010

I have over a thousand photos from Malaysia / Singapore spanning some 16GB, which has added considerably to my growing collection of unsorted photos sitting on my hard drive. I still have a huge set from Denmark and Sweden to get through, as well as a weekend away in Norfolk inclusive of a wedding. But putting the best onto a video always takes priority over filling the Blakepics disks, so here we go – you lucky people.

The music is “Bright Lights” by Tom McRae.

Let me know if you’re having any trouble viewing the video. This is the first time using an HTML5 compatible video format, which for the most of you should spark feelings of “I don’t care”, but hopefully the video should be a little higher quality than usual as well as supporting future standards, etc. If you’re not yet using a compliant browser, shame on you – but you should just get the flash version like usual.

Denmark & Sweden Photo Story

Saturday, September 11th, 2010

For the past week, I’ve been travelling around the Copenhagen area of Denmark, and south Sweden. The usual stash of photos have made their way back, and onto this photo story.

The music is “Notions of Love” by Clare Means, a performer from Los Angeles who was playing and singing to a large gathering on the streets of Copenhagen on my last night. If you like this, I’d suggest ordering her CD.

Germany Photo Story

Saturday, October 10th, 2009

Having taken the shiny new Nikon D90 with me on my trip to Berlin and Hamburg, I’ve come back with just over 1,000 photos. A large amount, even for me. So in a departure from the norm, I’ve chosen to only upload a selection of them to the public view of Blakepics.

As usual, you can also find a full quality version of this video on Blakepics. The music for this one is from the soundtrack of Die Riesen Kommen entitled "Decollage", the show from Royal De Luxe put on in Berlin to prompt this trip.
